Community Purpose & How To Use This Site

The purpose of this community is multi-fold, with an overall pupose of making the world a better place.

We're here to make our voices heard on a range of topics that will help move the needle, condeming the injustices being caused by those in power.  We're here to make sure that they are held accountable at every level, and we do this through community actions - phone calls and letters - as well as supporting in-person protests, strikes, and the like.  We will also put out a weekly notice giving people the opportunity to take action on current topics.

If you want to post to this community, it's to post a new opportunity - a protest of some kind, a writing campaign, a trusted source of news, or the like.  You can post this to the community, but please note that your post will need to be approved before posting.  Once posted, your information will also be consolidated into the different posts available for the community where appropriate.

You'll notice the information under "Those That Make Phone Calls" and "Those That Write Letters" are pretty much the same thing - and that's okay. You can choose the one that makes sense to you and go from there.  Under each heading is a script that you can use for when you call or write; we just ask that you change it up a little so that it doesn't sound rote.
